The first months of a business are a time to learn. We provide computers, furniture and office equipment for up to six months so you can test your idea before committing to equipment purchases.
Discuss my business ideaTemporary use of available equipment, together with consultation and support. This is non-monetary assistance: the equipment is not a gift and remains subject to the agreed return or purchase arrangements.
The team reviews the business plan and its potential profitability. Available equipment, the deposit amount, the return date and any consultation or other service costs must be agreed before participation. Purchase arrangements are explained below.
Read these conditions before enquiring. The exact equipment and amounts are discussed with the team.
There is no rental fee during the agreed free period. The equipment is provided for temporary use, not as a gift.
A deposit is required. The full deposit is returned when the equipment is returned according to the inventory. If you agree to purchase eligible equipment after the free period, the purchase price is deducted from the deposit; any difference is refunded or paid by you.
Repair or replacement is free for faults resulting from normal use, comparable to those covered by a manufacturer warranty. You pay shipping costs, or can deliver the equipment yourself without a shipping charge.
You are responsible for the repair cost and shipping in both directions when damage does not result from normal use.
Before purchasing, send the team a purchase request. Only items that the organisation makes available for purchase can be bought. If the equipment, furniture or other item is eligible, you will receive an offer. You do not have to accept it and can return the organisation’s property instead.
The valuation rule is the current market price minus 10–15%. The purchase price is calculated at the time of purchase, subject to any price clause in the original agreement. The actual amount is set out in the offer or determined under that agreement.
When you accept a purchase, its price is deducted from the deposit. If the deposit is higher, the difference is returned to you; if it is lower, you pay the difference. Returning the equipment according to the inventory instead means the full deposit is returned.
If the original agreement already contains a purchase option and price clause, no separate request for purchase permission is needed. Notify the team that you wish to buy the item, and the amount will be recalculated in accordance with that agreement.
Funds received by the organisation, including proceeds from equipment buyouts and donations, support its needs: buying new equipment, paying for storage and transport, or other needs decided by the governing board in accordance with the organisation’s stated purposes.
An exception applies when a donation is expressly designated for the exclusive use of a specific purpose or programme: those funds are used for that designated purpose rather than the organisation’s general needs.
Tell us what business you are planning and what equipment it needs. You do not need to upload a business plan, bank documents or identity documents through this form.
